Flavour carrier Ruslan speaks: ‘It's a job with a lot of variety, and that's fun!’

Ruslan: “At Vario Food Group, every day brings new challenges. I always start by preparing outgoing deliveries: using the reach truck, I prepare full pallets for transport. And when my colleagues are busy, I jump on the forklift truck to help with loading and unloading. So it’s a job with a lot of variety, and that’s just what I like (smiles).”

“A mistake can have a big impact. If, as a reachtruck driver, I place a pallet incorrectly, the wrong order may arrive at the customer’s door. And as a flavour carrier, I very much want to avoid that (smiles). That is why it is so important in our job that we work so accurately and follow procedures. But you are never alone here, especially if you are new. There is always an experienced colleague around to help you.”

At home from day one

“I really felt at home here from my first day. Both colleagues and managers show respect and appreciation for your work, and you as a person. When they see that you take your work seriously, they quickly give you more responsibilities. We work hard here, but there is always room for a short chat.”
