Jonas, flavour carrier, speaking: ‘You come home here and you get opportunities to grow’
The 27-year-old, Jonas Geenen, has now been coming to work at Vario Food Group for 2,5 years with a smile. This flavour carrier is a specialist in receiving and inbound logistics. He is the man who ensures that everything that enters the warehouse, from full pallets to mixed shipments, is meticulously checked, sorted, and stored. He is happy to tell you more about it.
Jonas: “Basically, I make sure that all order pickers can do their work every day. I check all incoming goods for shelf life and condition, register them and store them in the warehouse via the fifo (first in first out) system. So my day looks completely different from that of the orderpickers.”
‘‘It is a function where you have to keep your head, because one mistake can mean that a customer receives the wrong drinks. And of course, as a flavour carrier, you want us to deliver the right flavours.”
